Only you...

Acabei de ver um filme tão, mas tão incrível que nem tenho bem palavras para o descrever... O filme é de 1994 e chama-se only you, com Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr, Billy Zane e o "nosso" querido Joaquim de Almeida. Tem a ver com destino, almas gémeas, sol, lua, estrelas, enfim, o bouquet completo... Tudo coisas em que eu acreditava... Ainda acredito, mas apenas penso que já não serão para mim... Mas elas existem e andam aí... Sorte de quem as encontra...Mas tendo sido quase duas horas de emoção e sentimentos tão fortes, não me sinto com coragem para proceder á tradução da sinopse do filme e a única que encontrei em português estava deveras incompleta... Assim, vou colocar a sinopse em inglês e, caso algum dia me encha de coragem e de tempo (pois estas coisas são simples, mas levam sempre o seu tempo) traduzi-la-ei então.

Assim, sem mais demoras, aqui está a sinopse:

Destiny. Faith (Marisa Tomei) believes that two soul-mates can be united if they find each other. From the Ouija board, she has found the name of her missing half, and it is D-A-M-O-N B-R-A-D-L-E-Y. Later, at the carnival, the fortune teller sees the name Damon Bradley in the Crystal Ball and Faith is convinced. She is told that "You make your own destiny,...don't wait for it to come to you", but she is looking for Damon. 14 years later, she is engaged to a dull podiatrist and plans to marry until she gets a call from one of his classmates who is on his way to Venice, Italy. The classmate is Damon Bradley. Rushing to the airport to see her soul-mate, she misses him and the plane, but decides, then and there, to go after him. So Faith and her sister-in-law Kate both board the next plane for Italy hoping to find her Damon.
My opinion: In the end, she will find that she really needed to find Damon to find her true destiny…Whatever its called...
